Alright, I want to tell you guys about something I’ve just recently be introduced to: a teen outreach program that goes by the name of Project Toasty.
This entire idea is really neat. Every Thursday, PT uploads a new themed video on any topic that the viewers (that’s you) want to hear about. In each video, you’ll be given a ‘challenge’ that corresponds to the topic of the video (you’re also given opportunities to win prizes as well, which who wouldn’t love that?). These projects could involve making a video, creating a drawing, taking a photograph, writing, ect. The beginning of each video has a cute and hilarious little intro from tons of different popular YouTubers. And while PT is LGBTQ-friendly, it isn’t aimed strictly for that community- it’s for everyone.
Basically, these videos are designed to help everyone explore themselves, express themselves, have a good laugh at themselves sometimes and love themselves for who they are. It’s giving you guys the opportunity to contribute, create, and connect through your shared emotions and experiences. People forget that when they’re going through a rough time in their life, there’s people throughout the world going through the exact same thing. These videos are going to touch on those rough times, while offering advice and insight on how to get through them. Rather than just saying “Don’t worry! You’ll feel better eventually!” they’re actually going to offer you things to go out and do to help you on the right path to getting through them, and that’s what I love about Project Toasty. Their videos are extremely uplifting and guaranteed to make you smile.
So check it out, I promise it’ll make your day.
